May is a gorgeous spring month to get married. There use to be a superstition about getting married in the month of May but it has long since been forgotten and no wonder because it is one of the best months for a marriage. The weather is warm but not hot, the spring rains are clearing up and the flowers are in full bloom. Everywhere you look nature is waking up and bursting into vivid green life. May weddings are perfect if you want to back drop your special day with flowing trees like cherry blossoms, red buds or my personal local favorite the yellow forsythia bush all of which are difficult to get out of season. If you plan to enjoy the weather with an outdoor wedding you might want to plant another of my spring time favorites daffodil and tulips. Just remember planted bulbs need an entire season to get ready to bloom so be sure to get them in the ground by fall for your spring event.
